East Keal A circular walk around the area of East Keal using fields paths and lanes Meet at Church lane in East Keal, please park responsibly in the village. Burgh Le marsh This is a walk round Burgh Le March. The walk uses a mixture of surfaced paths, tracks and field paths and there are a few stiles. The walk is about 2 miles and takes about 1 ¼ hours Meet and park in Market Place or Tinkers Green recreation ground Jackson’s Lane. Humber Bridge Midweek Walk This is a walk across the Humber Bridge from south to north and back again we do stop half way for refreshments. The walk should take about 2 ½ hours. Walk leaders Lyn and James Scott (tel 01472 814057) Where to meet, ring Lyn or James for instructions. |

Saltfleet The walk incorporates similar terrain to RIMAC then hard surface alongside Saltfleet Haven, and roadside footpaths back through Saltfleet Village. Toilets are available at the car park off Sea Lane. The walk takes approx 1 ¼ hours. The New Inn and Crown Public houses are not far away. Horncastle Canal A walk along Horncastle Canal Bank, south of the town, including a loop through Banovallum Carr a Woodland planted in 2001 by the Woodland Trust. Binbrook Start walk at Binbrook village hall. The walk is mainly on paths and tracks with some slopes stiles and roadside walking. The walk takes about 1 ½ hours, distance about 2 ½ miles. Tetney Start walk at the car park of the Crown and Anchor pub (parking by kind permission of the landlord.) Walk from there to the tidal barrier and return, walk approx 1 ½ miles Refreshments available at the pub. Meet at pub car park. From the A16 take the B1201 through North Thorsby to the A1031 to Tetney, go through Tetney then take road to the right signed Tetney Lock. Manby Flats Meet at East Lindsey District Council car park. This led walk will take about 1 ½ hours at a leisurely pace. We walk along paths, roads and across pastures that allows access to view points, overlooking the wetland created on the Long Eau to contain floodwater. Hubbards Hills Walk from the town past St James Church and across Westgate Fields to Hubbard’s Hills, after the Old Mill House the path splits, choice one up over the ridge (hard) choice two continues along side of river where we will both meet up again. All walks are supervised by two qualified leaders with a 2 way radio; one at the front of the walk and the other at the rear. Questions are asked at the beginning of the walks as to your medical condition and to check you have necessary, tablets and spray for angina etc. |
