Sponsored Walk On Sunday the 13th June 2010 19 walkers turned out on a lovely morning to start the first of two walks round Woodhall Spa. After the first walk we were all treated to a lovely lunch prepared by Sam and Gill (Chris and Nev’s the walk leaders daughters) in their garden, this was much appreciated. After lunch 12 walkers participated in the second walk in hot and sunny conditions. It is estimated that over £700 was raised by this event. Thank you to everyone who sponsored the walkers and a big thank you to the walkers themselves. The money raised will help group activities later in the year |

Louth United Charities Janet Greer has once again been successful in applying for a grant from Louth United Charities. In June 2010 they awarded the Heart Support Group A grant of £300 to help the group continue to serve heart patients and their carers In the East Lindsey area Thanks go to Janet for putting the application together. |

The BHF Going Red for the Day During the Red for Heart Campaign both phase 4 classes and the Tai-Chi class took part in the event. Most people turned up wearing something Red. A total of £132 was raised. Also during the month of February we sold the Red Hearts and a total of £188 was raised for the BHF. |

This year it was decided that we would have a stall at the show promoting a healthy lifestyle. It was a lovely day very warm but also very windy, Ernie Battled to put the gazebo up luckily it stayed put. Ernie, Carol, Maureen, Geoff, Kath, Terry, Bryan and Doris took turns manning the stall. We also had Ali, Chris, Wendy and Jackie the nurses attending doing blood pressure readings, they did over a hundred readings during the day. It was worth doing so we hope to do it again next year. |
